The Kenmore Rugby Club is seeking qualified applicants to join our staff as coaches of our Middle School Girls’ and Middle School Boys teams.
The Kenmore Rugby Club is the oldest youth and high school rugby program in Erie County, established in 2004. With this position you will have access to a strong alumni, board structure, and coaching staff that will allow you to develop your coaching and teaching skills.
This announcement is for both the Girls’ and Boys’ Middle School positions. The responsibilities, expectations, and opportunities for both roles are identical. Qualified applicants may serve both roles concurrently.
This is a volunteer position.
Position Description
Candidate will be the Head Coach of the Middle School Boys/Girls team. Middle School teams will be playing a combination of 7s and 10s rugby. The prospective candidate will be able to manage and plan practice for 10-20 players aged 11-13-years-old. The Middle School Head Coach will have the opportunity to participate on the High School Boys’ and Girls’ coaching staffs as an assistant. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Adhere to and enforce all club, local, and state COVID protocols for high-risk sports.
Maintain players safety in all training sessions and matches
Develop individual players’ and teams skill sets and strategies consistent with Club philosophy
Communicate with parents regarding all matters related to the team
Schedule practices (2-3 per week)
Help build WNY Middle School Rugby

Kenmore Rugby Coaching Coordinator, Mackenzie Doolittle
Qualifications
Required
Minimum USA Rugby Level 100 or willingness to obtain
First Aid/CPR Certified
Preferred
USA Rugby Level 200
Knowledge of Whole-Part-Whole and Part-Part-Whole practice philosophies
