Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as an annual day of doing good. It comes five days after Thanksgiving, as a way for people to give back to causes and organizations they care about as we move into the holiday season. Since its inception it has grown into a global movement, with an estimated $3.1 billion donated in the US last year. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on December 3rd.
On this #GivingTuesday we are setting a lofty goal. We hope that through our combined effort, we can raise $3,000 for Kenmore Rugby. This December 3rd, we ask that you consider making a donation to Kenmore Rugby, and help us by spreading the word to others about supporting our club. As a not-for-profit organization, we depend on the generosity and support of others, with no amount being too small to help make a difference. Our #GivingTuesday campaign is another step in our club's growth, allowing us to continue to develop good rugby players, and more importantly, good people. The money raised will be used to develop and expand our community programming, allowing us to reach even more kids in grades K-12, and will go towards purchasing field equipment to help make our home field at Paddock Park feel more like home on gamedays with field markings, signage, and other branding.
Beginning Monday, December 2nd, look for a special Donate page on our website. Kenmore Rugby is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and any donations made to the club are tax-deductible. Please spread the word and help us achieve our goal!
